His most famous guest Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years here in his own palace. If you are here on Sunday, you will also experience the large, cozy local market. B - Tour to Chéverny - 59 or 65 kmA signposted route takes you past Beauregard Castle (with a gallery of portraits of 315 historical figures) to the perfectly symmetrical hunting castle of Chéverny, which was a model for Hergé's Molenbeek Castle. The small, charming castle of Troussay can also be visited on this day. You are here in the eastern Sologne region, the hunting ground of the French kings. C - Tour to Saint-Aignan - 50 kmMore east on the Cher is the charming castle town of Saint-Aignan. The relics of the patron saint are venerated in the collegiate church. Since 2000 modern stained glass windows by Jan Dibbets can be seen here. On the way back, you will cross the lush forest of Russy. E - Tour to Chémery 52 or 55 kmOn this bike tour you will visit the Gallo-Roman excavations of Thésée. The town hall with museum is located in a castle. You will cycle through a quiet side valley, past forests, vineyards and fens to the picturesque Chémery Castle.F - Tour to Chenonceaux - 42 kmIn the Cher valley you will see cave houses, one of which you can view inside. You cycle past the castle ruins of the town of Montrichard and follow the Cher to the Renaissance castle of Chenonceaux, built over the river. Famous ladies such as Catherine de Medici and Diane de Poitiers led a vibrant court life.
