Terms and conditions of travel

What is included in the tour price and what is not? To avoid surprises, you should know what you are booking! Please also note the information on the page of the cycle tour you wish to book.

Booking

Bookings can be made by e-mail, website or telephone. The booking is binding when we send you the booking confirmation.

Once we have confirmed your booking, a deposit of 35% must be paid immediately by bank transfer. The entire tour price is due at least 6 weeks before the start of the tour. Participation in the cycle tour will be confirmed after full payment of the tour price.

Your changes to the arrangement

If you wish to make changes to your booking, this is possible up to 14 days before the start of the tour (provided the hotels can still accept the changes). We charge €27 per booking for processing the change, regardless of the number of participants.

Cancellation

Cancellation up to the 28th day (only) before the day of payment of the deposit

Cancellation from the 28th day (inclusive) to the 21st day (exclusive) before arrival: 40% of the remaining payment

Cancellation from the 21st day (inclusive) to the 14th day (only) before arrival: 50% of the balance

Cancellation from the 14th day (inclusive) to the 5th day (exclusive) before arrival: 75% of the remaining amount

Cancellation from the 5th day (inclusive) until the start of the trip: 90% of the remaining amount

Cancellation on the day of arrival or later: full payment

No-show

In the event of no-show, the full tour price must be paid.

The day of arrival is the start of the holiday. No refund will be made for services not used (e.g. if the trip is interrupted).

Liability: Happy Cycling Holiday is liable for the conscientious preparation and organisation of the trip. We make a careful selection of the various service providers (e.g. bike hire, partners, hoteliers, etc.) and at the same time act as an intermediary between the traveller and the service providers. We assume only limited liability for the fulfilment by these companies. Liability remains limited to direct damages.

Changes to the itinerary

Should we be forced to deviate from the published route descriptions due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be informed accordingly.

Participation

You take part in the tours at your own risk. (We therefore recommend that you take out travel insurance.) Each participant is responsible for ensuring that he or she is in good health for the requirements of the booked trip. In addition, the participant is responsible for complying with road traffic regulations and for any damage caused to themselves or others. The traveller is obliged to make every reasonable effort to minimise damage. Services not utilised will not be refunded. Each customer is responsible for complying with passport, visa, customs and health regulations. We reserve the right to cancel a trip (up to 14 days before the start of the trip at the latest). In this case we will inform you immediately and refund any payments already made.

Prices

Prices are per person in a double room (or shared room), unless otherwise stated. If you are travelling alone, we will charge a supplement for a single room.

Insolvency insurance Stichting Garantiefonds Reisgelden

All our holidays are insured by the Stichting Garantiefond Reisgelden (SGR), see www.sgr.nl/guarantee - for the conditions. We have insured your trip price with the SGR in order to fulfil the legal requirements of Section 651 of the German Civil Code. By taking out this insurance, your deposit is also insured.

Compulsory contribution

From 1 February 2021, you as a traveller will pay the mandatory contribution of € 5.00 per person. This applies to all customers. This contribution does not apply to children up to 2 years of age. No contribution is payable for bookings of less than €150 per person and for individual flight tickets.
