Lake Constance - 8 days

Day 1 Arrival in BregenzYour cycling holiday around Lake Constance starts in Bregenz. In the evening you can go for a lovely walk along the banks of the lake. In Bregenz you will find the Seebühne amphitheater and the Mehrerau monastery. The center of Bregenz brings you back to the Middle Ages. A wonderfully quiet start to your cycling holiday.Day 2 Bregenz - Arbon - 41 kmOn your first day of cycling you cycle along the lake and through the Rheindelta nature reserve. The route between Fussach and Gaissau in particular offers a beautiful swamp area with a rich and rare flora in June. Crossing the Rhine you will arrive in Switzerland and soon you will arrive in Rorschach, a 1000 year old port town. In the center you will find beautiful, baroque mansions and a 17th century church. You cycle further on the Swiss bank to the small but beautiful Altstadt of Arbon, where you spend the night.Day 3 - Arbon to Konstanz - 40 kmThe third day you cycle through Romanshorn and you can enjoy a break in the castle park, with a 16th century church. Via Kreuzlingen you cycle to Konstanz, where you spend the night. Konstanz has a well-preserved and pleasant old town on the water.Day 4 - Konstanz to Gaienhofen - 50 kmFrom Konstanz you cycle across the Swiss border and you arrive at the shore of Lake Untersee. Gottlieben, Ermatingen and especially Steckborn are the picturesque towns en route to the picturesque medieval town of Stein am Rhein.
You spend the night in the half-timbered village of Gaienhofen.
Dag 5 Van Gaienhofen naar Konstanz 39 kmOn the way to Konstanz you take a ride on the special monastery island of Reichenau. There are also cycling along three Romanesque churches that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. You can spend the night in Konstanz, the largest and most worth seeing city on Lake Constance. On summer evenings you can enjoy one of the many concerts in the city garden.
Dag 6 Van Konstanz naar Friedrichshafen 48 of 54 kmAfter a visit to the famous flower island of Mainau with its splendor of flowers and old tree giants, you cross the ferry at Wallhausen to Überlingen. In Überlingen you will find the beautiful 16th century St. Nikolaus-Münster church. You follow Lake Constance along the Birnau pilgrimage church and the picturesque wine town of Meersburg. Here you can visit the castle and enjoy the exceptional view of the Alps and the lake. After Immenstaad you will find your hotel in the Zeppelin city Friedrichshafen.
Day 7 - Friedrichshafen to Bregenz - 34 kmThe last cycling day takes you past Monfort and the old Bavarian island town of Lindau to Bregenz. In picturesque Lindau it seems as if time has stood still. The many beautiful Baroque churches and historic buildings are certainly worth seeing. In Lindau you can also enjoy the nice terraces and the lively boulevard. You then cycle further to Bregenz.Day 8 Departure
