In the peaceful Achterhoek region, we have found an extraordinary hotel: 'The Chestnut Factory in Eibergen. It is located in a beautifully renovated, centuries-old factory building. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and you can enjoy a large garden right on the little river Berkel. This makes it a perfect base for a short and varied cycling holiday where forest, moor and heath alternate with meadows, water and cosy towns like Groenlo and Borculo. The routes lead in all wind directions. Twice you can take a look across the border, at the beautifully located tavern 'Haarmühle' and the flamingos in the Zwillbrocker Venn. In Twente, you cycle to the Buurserzand and the "castle town" Diepenheim, among other places. Art lovers will enjoy Museum Villa Mondriaan in Winterswijk and Huis Ruurlo with its unique Willink collection.
