TIP: A stay in Matera prior to the tour is highly recommended. Since 1993, Matera's cave dwellings, the so-called 'Sassi', have been part of UNESCO's World Heritage List. The view of the ravine that separates Matera from the Murge is impressive. This pre-bike tour extension includes transfers by taxi from Bari airport to Matera and from Matera to Alberobello.
