Questions about bookings
Your booking is binding, which means you cannot simply cancel it. Your booking is requested by us from the agent or hotel. Once the agent or hotel confirms, your booking is indeed final. If your requested date is not available, we will contact you to offer an alternative date and/or trip.
Yes, you can. Please note that in this case, we can no longer send printed travel documents; you will receive the travel information via our app.
You can inform us by phone or email if you need to cancel your trip. The cancellation fees can be found at https://www.happycyclingholidays.com/Cancellation/
Once the booking is confirmed, you will receive an invoice from us. This invoice will state the deposit. The deposit consists of a portion of the total trip price (35% of the trip price) plus the costs of any cancellation and/or travel insurance, reservation fees, and, if applicable, the Calamity Fund.
The invoice also specifies the date by which the deposit must be paid and the bank account numbers to which you can transfer the amount. On your personal booking page (the link to which you receive upon confirmation of your reservation), there is also a link that allows you to pay easily via Paypal. If you book within six weeks of departure, the full amount must be paid in one installment.
Yes, if your arrival day falls within a peak-season period, you will pay the full peak-season surcharge. However, if your arrival day is one day before the peak season starts, no peak-season surcharge applies for the entire trip. In other words, the arrival day determines the surcharge.
Questions About Travel Documents, Transportation, Insurance, etc.
E-bikes are available on all Dutch tours and many foreign tours. To double check, you can look for the e-bike symbol on the top right of the page. Found a tour without the e-bike symbol? Let us know and we'll see what's possible.
For €2 per day, you can take out a separate bike insurance policy for your own bike or a rental bike with Eigen-Wijze Reizen. Travel insurance often does not cover bike damage and/or theft.
We aim to send your travel documents to you 3 weeks before the start of your holiday. Outside the peak season, this is often a little earlier; during the peak season, we do our best to meet the three-week timeframe.
For intercontinental flights, check in 3 hours in advance. For other flights, we recommend checking in 2 hours before departure. You can usually also check in online. Check the website of the airline for instructions on how this works. If you have checked in online, you can report to the airport 2 hours before departure for intercontinental flights and 1.5 hours before for other flights.
If the delay is longer than 3 hours, you can fill out a form on the spot or submit a complaint to the airline. For more information, you can consult the guide at www.anvr.travel
