Through the beautiful Jeker Valley, which marks the language border with the Walloon region, you cycle to Kanne. You’ll likely feel as though you’re passing through three countries. You start in Dutch-speaking Tongeren, but suddenly the cycling nodes become *Points de Nœuds*, and before you know it, you're saying “Bonjour” to passers-by and getting a cheerful “Guten Tag” in return. From Kanne, you can follow a route further through the Jeker Valley and beneath the Sint-Pietersberg to visit Maastricht. You then cycle across a gently rolling marl plateau with wide views, passing mushroom caves, large square farmsteads, and a wine estate on your way back to historic Tongeren.
