Day 1 - Arrival in Delft Day 2 - Delft to Noordwijk aan Zee - 55 kmFrom your hotel in the Old Dutch city of Delft you follow the towpath along the Delftsche Vliet to the heart of The Hague with the government center, elegant buildings and the Peace Palace. At the seaside resort of Scheveningen you can reach the North Sea coast. A beautiful dune bike path takes you past Wassenaar and the old fishing village of Katwijk to the seaside resort of Noordwijk aan Zee.Day 3 - Noordwijk aan Zee to Wijk aan Zee - 47 or 50 kmThe next day you cycle through the wide Waterleidingduinen to Zandvoort. Here you cycle to the beautiful, historic center of Haarlem with the famous St. Bavo basilica. Afterwards you cycle over the wooded dunes of the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park. On the edge of IJmuiden you cross the North Sea Canal with the ferry and you soon reach the charming village of Wijk aan Zee. Day 4 - Wijk aan Zee to Bergen - 34 or 49 kmAt Egmond aan Zee you can extend the route by visiting the old town of Alkmaar with the famous Waag and numerous other historic buildings. You cycle through the polder and the beautiful dune area to the artists' village of Bergen. Northwest of Bergen the dunes are the highest, very wide and wooded.Day 5 - Bergen to Den Helder - 45 kmFrom Petten you cycle through the dunes and you can take a walk in the special Zwanenwater nature reserve. On top of the sea dyke you will round the head of Noord-Holland. You spend the night near the port of Den Helder in the hotel that is appropriately called Lands End (Country's end).Day 6 - Departure
