Berlin - 7 days
A - Tour in old Berlin - 17 kmDuring a guided tour you will cycle past many famous Berlin sights. In the afternoon you take a boat trip on the Spree and see Berlin from the water.
You can also cycle our own tour. This not only takes you past the highlights of Berlin, but also through a few special courtyards. Moreover, you have the time to set your own pace, to set your own accents and to take the extensive information at your leisure.B - Berlin Wall Route - 28 kmThe Berlin Wall has divided the city in two for almost 28 years. During this cycle route you follow the course of this separation that was largely demolished between 1989-1990. Recent history is still very lively there due to the presence of remains of the wall, watchtowers, artworks, memorial sites and museums. You will come to the Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer, the Checkpoint Charlie border crossing, the Mauermuseum and the East Side Gallery: the 1.3 kilometer long piece of wall painted by 118 artists after the Wende. At the start you have the opportunity to make a small tour through the Prenzlauer Berg (perhaps the most popular district of Berlin). And at the end you can cycle back via the impressive Karl-Marx-Allee and the Hackesche Höfe. C - Tour through West Berlin - 28 kmOn the Straße des 17. June you cycle to the Siegessäule. Then you cycle through the Tiergarten and along the Landwehrkanal to the imposing Schloss Charlottenburg, with its beautiful gardens. You can reach the Olympiastadion on quiet roads through green suburbs. Then you cycle to the start of the Kurfürstendamm, which you cycle all the way out. You pass the Gedächtniskirche and you can take a detour to the KaDeWe. You return to the Brandenburg Gate via the embassy district and the Tiergarten.D - Via Kreuzberg to Köpenick - 28 kmAt the time of the Cold War, the West Berlin district of Kreuzberg was best known for its alternative scene. There is still a cozy multicultural atmosphere with many eateries, shops and terraces. The bike tour will take you past the Jewish museum, the Landwehrkanal and through the Görlitzer Park. Then you make the crossing to the East Berlin district of Treptow, best known for the impressive Russian cemetery. Then you cycle on a cycle path along the Spree to the southeast. You cross the river with a pedestrian ferry and then you drive through a quiet heathland and park landscape to the medieval district of Köpenick, surrounded by water. You go back with the S-Bahn.E - Round trip to Potsdam - 17/34 kmBerlin is surrounded by beautiful, water-rich nature. On this route you cycle along secluded cycle paths along the banks of the Krumme Lanke, Schlachtensee and Wannsee lakes to Potsdam, the city known for its beautiful palaces and gardens. You take a city tour through the Babelsberg park, the 18th-century Holländisches Viertel district and past the palaces of Sanssouci and Neues Palais, which were commissioned by Frederick the Great. You go back with the S-Bahn.
